High School Evangelization
Every Catholic parish has a unique charism, every Parish Youth Program possesses its own unique characteristics. Here at OLPH in Glendale, our youth ministry program follows and obeys the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church…Scripture, Tradition and Magisterium. We follow the example of our leaders, our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI and our shepherd of the Diocese of Phoenix, Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted. In addition, in the midst of modern relativism, where people pick and choose what they want to believe, we follow solely the Catholic Church.
G.K. Chesterton once said, "Angels can fly because they can take themselves lightly." That being said, even though we are serious about our Catholic faith, we are also serious about having fun!
OLPH Youth Ministry will be involved in a list of special activities that occur throughout the year. These activities will include:
- Wednesday Nights: Meetings consist of prayer, Scripture Analysis, Small Groups, Games, Church News, Teen Talk and Discussions
- Praise and Worship
- Divine Mercy Chaplet
- Eucharistic Adoration
- Basketball, Frisbee, Soccer, and Volleyball
- Volunteer Opportunities
- Youth Night Out
- Movie Nights
- PLUS MUCH MORE: XLT, Laser tag trips, lock in bowling nights; Basketball Tournaments; Waterpark Trip; Fundraising breakfasts and other events; Parent Nights and much more – always something new coming!
